The Executive had begun a mid-year reassessment of payments on account with bookmakers. The Board noted the financial risks present for 2020/21.
Divided Race Fund: October-December 2020 Funding
The Board agreed funding for divided races from October to December 2020 of £890,000.
Funding for Additional Regulatory Staff
The Board agreed to approve up to £500,000 in funding towards additional regulatory staff at racecourses carrying out compliance duties in connection with Covid-19 regulations.
Betting Liaison Group Chairmanship
The Board approved the appointment of Mike O’Kane as Chairman of the Betting Liaison Group with immediate effect.
Sectional Timing Funding: Update
The Board received presentations from providers or representatives of the companies providing sectional timing and tracking at racecourses.
Strategic Risk Management Framework: Phase One Mitigations
The Board noted the progress made on the Strategic Risk Management Framework and the mitigation of risks.
