Programme Protection Payments
(amended)In 2025 £0.97m has been allocated to Programme Protection Payments (PPP) (£0.97m in 2024).
The PPP scheme has been designed to support the movement of fixtures as part of the Premierisation strategy to reduce congestion on Saturday afternoons. Around 40 fixtures moving out of the protected window on Saturday afternoons will receive additional prize money funding to ensure their current race programmes are maintained. Payment levels by fixture move type have been modified following review of the 2024 scheme and funding will conclude at the end of 2025 in alignment with the end of the two-year Premierisation strategy.
