Non-Fixture Related Grants 2027
HBLB is pleased to announce the launch of the latest round of non-fixture related grant funding.
Proposals for grants for the period 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027 are now invited. This process excludes racing fixture-related items such as prize money, regulation and integrity grants or items falling within HBLB’s veterinary science and education budget and the rare breeds society grants which have their own processes. Applications are welcomed for projects and activities that support HBLB's statutory objectives and the 13 Racing Outcomes set out in the Grant Guidance Notes (see below).
The 2027 grant application, evaluation and decision process will run as follows, although the decision date remains subject to amendment and is at the discretion of the HBLB Board:
Grant application window: From 13 July 2026 to 24 August 2026
Assessment of grant applications: 25 August 2026 to 6 October 2026
HBLB Board Decision: Mid-October
Notification to grant applicants: November
All applications/re-submissions must be received by 5pm on 24 August 2026.

Grant applications must be made online using the Blackbaud Grant Management System. The Grant Management System is HBLB’s new platform dedicated to Non-Fixture Related Grants applications and reviews.
