Horserace Betting Levy Board

Management Accounts
The Board noted the management accounts for the twelve months to 31st March 2017.

Audit Committee Chairmanship
The Board approved the appointment of Lord Risby as Chairman of the Board’s Audit Committee, with effect from 28th April 2017.

Totepool Levy Contribution
The Board approved the proposal from Betfred that, for its Pool betting operation, the successor company to the Horserace Totalisator Board will contribute, in respect of the UK based off-course horserace betting business, as if it were a bookmaker for the purposes of the 56th Levy Scheme from 1^st April 2017 to 24^th April 2017.

Capital Credit Applications: Thirsk and Redcar
The Board approved:

1. A Capital Credit Grant to Thirsk racecourse of £27,270 to extend and refurbish the Weighing Room.
2. A Capital Credit Grant to Redcar racecourse of £3,616 to install an enhanced Wi-Fi service.

All drawdowns will be subject to the Executive’s receipt of appropriate documentation and a Capital Credit balance equal to or greater than the requested amount at the time of drawdown.
